Ron Centenario 20-Year rum is produced from Costa Rican sugar cane which is turned into molasses before aging in American white oak barrels up to 20 years using the solera aging system.
The company producing Ron Centenario 20-Year rum used to be named Seagram de Costa Rica, but in 2002 changed its name to Centenario Internacional. The rum wasn't sold outside of Costa Rica until 2007.

Nose: vanilla, caramel and wood notes.
When drinking, the Ron Centenario 20-Year reveals a spicy mildness.
Long finish.
Nase: Vanille, Karamell und Holznoten.
Beim trinken offenbart er eine würzige Milde.
Langer Abgang.

Z celé řady Centanario je to zatím můj favorit. Velmi komplexní.
Ein schön ausgewogener Rum, der mit Karamell und Schokolade aufwarten kann, mir eigentlich ein wenig zu süß, aber er macht es durch seinen runden Geschmack wieder wett. Daran kann man sich gewöhnen :-)

Right off the bat, the smell of sweet citrus, vanilla and oak strike me in a good way. The flavor if all if this really comes through delightfully. It is sweet but it is very well balanced with the oak. I enjoy sipping on this a lot.

This rum reminds me of Kaniche but perhaps a little more expensive and aged. The taste is less than a bottle of Eldorado 21. It is also good with coke and lime. I would buy it again.
