A refined and elegant rum, inspired by true character. After 12 years of aging in selected barrels, it boasts luxurious and exceptional. Its well-rounded flavours are only achieved by time and artistry. Drink it by itself, paired with dark chocolate or along with mature tobacco cigars. Character behind every sip.

Wow, this rum smells like it will burn, and it does. Strong smell of tabaco, which I don't like in a rum. I seriously think I will use this in mixed drinks to finish this bottle.
This rum is a slap and then a burn. The most I ever paid for a bottle and my biggest disappointment...
It was not bad, but it is not my favorite. Something is missing in the taste.
This rum has quite high reviews, which too my opinion has to do with the price, which is attractive. However, taken the price into consideration, there are better rums available. Would not buy it again, although the rum is certainly not bad.
Dejlig blød aroma smag af vanilje, portvin rund sød efter smag, rigtig god
I know that my preferences are more on sweet side, so don't want to say anything really bad on this one. However, the smell is too strong and of alcohol, and the taste is quite on whisky side for me. Worth trying from time to time, but for sure not my favourite.
Here is a rum on the heavy side. Highly dominating caramel and wood with vanilla notes and a slightly, slightly smoky underlying taste, that brings you a rum with a dark, heavy fullness of taste with parallels to Scottish highland malts seldomly done so well, while preserving the distinctness of RUM. Not a cross-over, but a highly well distilled Rum paying hommage to the Scotsmen while forcefully expressing itself as the Rum it is. A thick, heavy, full-bodied, caramelly sweet Rum that deserves to be enjoyed neat at at least medium temperature.
A rich, pleasant tasting experience that would go well with a pipe of good tobacco with a decent amount of Black Cavendish.
Un rhum assez sympathique à boiré! Je le trouve un peu sec pour un rhum se mélasse mais il passe.
Five rums to which you would never add Coca-Cola

After my initial introduction to the fabulous 7-years old Abuelo some years ago, the time had come for me to get to know its 12-years old brother, my expectations being really high....but the awakening was rather rude! Although it's older, it's even sweeter, and if in the case of the 7-years old the balance between dryness-sweetness is succeeded in an exemplary manner, here in our case we are talking about an intense sugary palate, a feature that covers nearly everything else. Yes, it is a pleasant rum after all, but I wouldn't prefer my rum to be as sweet as a birthday cake!
