Plantation Barbados 5-Year rum is distilled from molasses and aged 5 years in bourbon casks before being transported to France for further 'finishing' in Cognac casks.
Plantation rum is owned by the French company Cognac Ferrand, which was founded in 1989 and produces wine, gin, and other spirits to sell in over 40 countries. The Plantation range includes 7 vintages from different Caribbean countries and 3 blends of multiple regions.

Nice, sweet with strength, perfect for so young rum.
One of the best from cheaper rums.
This is actually of one the cheapest rums you can buy at the swedish monopoly and I have to say it's fantastic for the price you pay (at least here in Sweden)

Synes at duften er bedre end smagen i denne rom. Den brรฆnder lidt for meget til at man rigtig fรฅr glรฆde af smagsnuancerne

big disappointment for me. Very cheap smell and taste. The taste is so thin. Do not recommend to buy it. From my point of view, only worth mixing.

Zachte en zoete rum met voornamelijk karamel en hout aroma en smaak.
Het kleine broertje van de XO en een prima rum voor minder dan โฌ20.
22 gr/liter suiker. WTF Plantation?
I little heat on this 5yr grand reserve along with flavors of carmel, nutmeg-like spice and juicy fruit makes a nice little sipper and mixer for the price,

It's only 5years old but it already wields the typical fruity Barbados-style ,typically with a little bite in the throat.One of the best Price/value i ever tasted

If youโre looking to get into age statement rums, this is a great start! Plantation 5yr is a good balanced semi dry rum good for drinking neat, on the rocks or in your choice of cocktail.
