This rum has a lovely finish, great taste and is by far my favourite white rum. I would say good enough to drink neat. I would add that care is needed when adding coke, it can be a spoiler
As a Plantation lovers, I had to discover this 3Stars white rum from Maison Ferrand. The main thing which comes to my mind is 'smooth' maybe a little bit too much to be sip straight up but as already said by few reviewers, it should be gorgeous in cocktails ! I should taste it in a Mojito . That sounds like a good plan :-)
This is an amazing product! one of the best white rums in the market right now... it's just beautiful for cocktails...The best daiquiri you can make!
Cheers!
This is my go to Mojito Rum. Very well balanced and subtle flavors.
My absolute go to, especially for daiquiris. Always have a fifth on hand just in case.
Maybe the best white rum out there. It is really smooth. If you would for some reason like to sip a white rum this is the one for you. A great mixer!
Wounderful rum for drinks and also works as a sipper. Always havet one at home.
Being a Plantation aficionado, I had to taste this. Unfortunately for us in Quebec, apart from the winters, it means getting the 3 stars through an elaborate mix of private import agency and state controlled process.
Luckily I am quite stubborn and last summer I ended ordering two cases of the stuff and sharing it with my friends. It was indeed a hit and a unanimous winner. So much so that a month latter I order two additional cases.
Everyone agreed it could easily be sipped on the rocks, with some nice tropical aromas of bananas and mango. I personally made the best cuban classics (Mojitos and Daiquiris) with it.
I think the best result was one my friend having the brilliant idea of mixing this in a freshly opened coconut (the fresh ones cut and wrapped, not the old fibrous ones) with some ice.
I'm sure most people reading this know about the elaborate process to create this white rum. To be honest, the only white rum approaching this quality is the Diplomatico Blanco Reserva, and it's practically twice the price.
Let's just say Plantation nailed it again.
Itβs mainly a nose of strong alcohol.
"Initially it sips quite well and is reasonably smooth but it is has a very strong taste when swallowed."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

semi dry, and a better option than well known / highly available options for mojitos, just with lime and ice on a hot day, etc. Not much to get excited about, but nothing disapoints either.
