Por el precio, el 8 años es mejor. No habia necesidad de subirlo a 10 años pues la diferencia es floja y sigue siendo bacardi tradicional. Sigue necesitando su mixer

Clean and woody. Great for any occasion where your recipe calls for an aged Spanish style, Puerto Rican.

I don't enjoy this over ice. Not enough character. Sweet woody and ethanolly. Not much more.

I've not had Barcardi in any variety for many years. Reading around their attempts to build back some quality into the brand results in some rums like this.

It's smooth, minimal burn and sippable. After a couple of strait up glasses I went on to find I preferred it on ice.

A comparable alternative would be El Dorado 8 year which is richer and cheaper - much better value, so with access to that or similar, forget this.

I’ve always been a “rum and coke” rum drinker. After traveling in the Scotch and bourbon worlds for a few years, I decided it was time for a rum deep-dive. This was my first “high end” (aka non-coconut-flavored, upper shelf rum). Have to say I was pleased but also intrigued by the very different taste and mouthfeel compared to what I was used to. A little alcohol burn (straight with no water or ice). Brown sugar and currants. A slight herbal note, like rosemary. Sweetness lingers.

The journey continues!

Na, ez már nem az a kommersz Bacardi, amit a szupermarketből, vagy a diszkókból ismersz! Ezt már lehet kimondottan jó rumnak is nevezni, és ömagában fogyasztva is nagyon kellemes!

I could not tell a significant difference between this and mccartney's entry level spiced rum other than the flavors Earth's had a slightly higher intensity.

Much better than I expected. Wont regret testing it.

This is a slight improvement over the Bacardi Gold 8-year, with a slight increase in price. The taste is pleasantly sweet, with similar notes to the 8-year, but with more punch packed in.

Not that bad for a bacardi.
The nose: we can smell oak with some bourbon, vanilla and coconut.

The palate: offers a rum that is both tasty and light.
We can smell vanilla, coconut and sweet caramel.
Not really complex.
A bit overpriced for a bacardi.

Extra rare gold rum. Matured in charred white oak barrels for gentle smoothness and subtle smokiness. Good for sipping.
