Maggie’s Farm Queen's Share rum, a dark rum which is made by re-distilling a collection of tails from their normal rum distillations. It’s produced in a variety of finishes, including double oak, sherry, rum barrel-aged, bourbon barrel-aged, and rye whiskey barrel-aged.via American Rum Report
That's some good stuff
Being overproofed and this smooth is a testament to the process used to make this. The aged and oaked expressions are much more flavorful, however this is worth a spot in your collection.
I'm not usually a fan of over-proof rums, but this one could change my mind. It's very light on the nose, but full of flavor. Some burn, but not what you would expect for 120 proof. The rye barrel finish really comes out, and leaves you wanting more. On the rocks, this would pair well with a cigar.
