The rum is a product of Les Bienheureux S.A.S. (in Paris France) and is a blend of several ‘grand reserva’ Guatemala rums with an initial long aging period of 10 to 18 years in several types of casks. The casks are then imported into the Charente, in the cellars of the French company Les Bienheureux where the spirit is rested in used cognac barrels for a further 6 months.

Le nez est plus boisé que le XO mais reste dominé par le duo caramel/vanille.
La bouche est plus sucrée et épicée, toujours en comparaison avec le XO, mais est toujours écrasée par le duo caramel/vanille. Les années de vieillissement en plus par rapport au XO (entre 10 et 18 ans pour celui-ci, et entre 6 et 15 pour le XO) n’apportent pas grand-chose. Dommage. Ca reste quand même un rhum intéressant pour les amateurs du style espagnol.
