Tres Hombres 2005 Porto Bayan ED 20 12-Year

Nose is weak with hints of brown sugar but more of a glue.
Port cask finish is sadly not much recognizable. But it has oaky wooden character.
Mild finish with hints of cinnamon and fruits.
No strenghts no weaknesses

Dry rum from Barbados. Not the finest Barbados has to offer but sippable in a pinch

A strong rum with only a few light flavours (some cinnamon and sugar)

This is my second time trying rum from Tres Hombres. I heard a lot about them before trying them out, but was very disappointed by the first glass i had. Sadly, this one did nothing to salvage my expectations.

Nose: Coconut, tropical fruits, vanilla and oak
Taste: Cinnamon, coconut, oak and a very thin and short sweet aftertaste
Overall: Like the first Tres Hombres I tried this just lacks....something. It is way to thin and offers nothing. Needs more oomph.

Dufter af gummi. Tænker lidt på en cykelsslange, men det gør den bare interessant, når man ser forbi spritten. Lidt duft af tørrede frugter også. Smagen er meget tør, og det er til syvende og sidst den, man sidder tilbage med uden andre egentlige smagsoplevelser. Er ikke en dårlig rom, men bare uinteressant. 16. December i romkalenderen 2017

Since this is a special edition, one would expect an extraordinary taste, but in fact, this rum tastes very average to me: It shure has a nice scent of brown sugar and oak in the nose, but on the palate it is dry, slightly spicy and in general pretty uninteresting.
