Mount Gay 1703 rum includes rums aged between 10 and 30 years that are joined by master distiller Allen Smith.
Mount Gay Distilleries is the oldest operating distillery in the Americas - producing rum in Barbados since 1703, hence the rum's name. It's original name was Mount Gilboa, and in 1801 renamed Mount Gay after the distillery's manager Sir John Gay Alleyne.

I got a double to get something new, and im glad I did. This is a mild, semi smooth rum that I would have no problem drinking a lot of. Unfortunately I have to drive home. But i think it will make a great rumand coke, or umbrella drink. It's okay as a sipper, as I mentioned but it will shine as a mixer

Just got about halfway through this bottle, rum is a good colour and leaves a good smooth after taste

Un rhum assez sec pour un de la Barbade. Il est très long en bouche bien qu'encore trop sec pour moi. Bonne dégustation!

The smoothest rum ever. Gorgeous flavours and a sweet aftertaste. Tastes of chocolate, caramel and fruit.

Ottimo rum in stile inglese, buon corpo e buona persistenza.
La paletta aromatica varia dal legno al cuoio invecchiato.

Had a great experience at the Distillery recently where I was introduced to this rum. I used to be a Zacapa XO drinker until I found this gem.
I find it best severed in chilled glass.

Un rom foarte fin, pentru cunoscători dar nu numai. O alegere excelentă pentru o seară de vară pe o plajă din Barbados bineînțeles :)

slight smell of apples and pear similar to Pyrat Cask 1623, but more harsh. The taste is not nearly as smooth or complex as I would have imagined for such a premium/expensive rum. In a side by side with ED 21, the 21 was easily better in all aspects. 80+?
