Centenario Real

I’ve heard so many great things about this rum, and the exclusivity. From what I’ve read it can only be purchased upon exciting the country at the airport. I’m a huge fan on Centenario rums traveling Costa Rica a dozen times in the 80’s surfing and enjoying their early rums. I finally found this bottle on auction and likely over paid as someone else wanted it badly too. But justified as less cost than a trip to CR and it’s my Christmas gift. So now on to the rum.

Nice dark brown color, sweet smooth nectar with long lasting depth. I wish I had some 30 year old for a side by side but this puppy is great. This as close to a 10 as it gets. Bottle states 30 yeas Solara method that does not sound impressive, but whoever is selecting the barrels and blending is doing a superb job.

Round 2 immediately after 1st to confirm 1st tasting, that means it’s really good and I want some more. First I have to say this Fuente Don Carlos #2 has been perfect cigar for this Christmas 5 bottle tasting. A few puff’s in between rums to cleanse the pallet. 10 it is need to put on the top shelf to prevent drinking it all.

This is quite possible the best rum I've ever tasted. I have one bottle and I'm deliberately taking it easy.

I try it in the 2020, it was great pleasure to meet him. Several times when I drink rum, just second glass is the good for rating,(first is for me like calibration) but this one spectacular, nice, sweetness was accurate a whole taste for really great. I can just recommend it, but price is so high.

It is for me the best centenario with a lot of taste, and a smooth toast with complexity.for me note: 1 centenario real 9.5., centenario 25 9.2, centenario 20 and 30.8.9. For me the 20 is the more sugar taste and the 30 the less tast with less sugar but very pretty without the necessary power. All are very goog. But the best price for value is the 25 because if the real is the best the difference price is to important.

Not sure should be called a Rum, too sweet and absolutely no length or complexity, like drinking a sirop

Tento rum jsem si zakoupil po konzultaci s člověkem od Ron Centenario na doplnění sbírky značky Ron Centenario. Nic lepšího z oblasti rumů jsem nikdy nepil. Jeho ovocná vůně a chuť, která v první chvíli překvapí svojí silou rumu, postupně pomalu přecházející do ovocného sladšího konce je neskutečná.
