Canada | Flavored | 21% ABV

Malibu Coconut Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and blended with coconut and sugar. The brand is owned by one of the world's largest spirits producers, Pernod Ricard.

Currently produced in Canada, Malibu Coconut rum was originally made in Curaçao from fruit spirits flavored with coconut and rum. The original recipe was developed as a shortcut for bartenders making Piña Coladas, however today the stands on its own.

I admit this started it all for me so I have a love of Malibu. I keep some in my fridge just incase i want to add a coconut flavor to my coke which is delicious. Overall not really a rum as I no have acquired a taste for real rum, but not bad if you like sugar haha.

Det här är ju inte riktigt rom, men väldigt god att göra drinkar på.
Apelsinjuice eller dylikt + is är en enkel men läskande kombination.

This is my teenage rum...one of those i used to use by then in my efforts to mix up tropical drinks. I don`t use it anymore, it has purely nostalgic value to me. It`s not a good rum, overly sweet and cloying. The bottle is pretty though, i could use it as a soap dispenser:-)

Fine for a mixed drink or cocktail for some coconut kick, but I would pass on this one as a rum :)

It tastes like liquid tanning oil, it's low proof overly sweet and not cheap. Best to use a flavored rum like Cruzan or make your own.

Pretty much run of the mill coconut rum. Overly sweet and very coconut forward. Has set the standard for coconut rum mixers for years

Sweet coconut flavor, great for a light mixed drinks. Summer favorite.
Great with champagne and pineapple juice. Or even mixed with a spiced rum.

Tasted Wednesday March 27 at Laka Lono Kill Devil Rum Club coconut rum tasting.
Appearance: clear
Aroma: sun tan oil. not lotion, oil.
Flavor: tastes like bonne bell lipsmacker from the 70s
Tasting notes: true to the original advertising slogan, Malibu does indeed taste like sunshine. A very sweet sunshine. I'd probably prefer this with a cola rather than as a sipper, but I feel we need to respect the original.
