Had this in st Augustine a few times and although it’s not spectacular, it’s a pretty good showing. With a dark rum it’ll make a nice cocktail. Not one I’d be prone to just sip on.
All I taste is alcohol. Burn isn’t horrible, but there is no depth of taste and no sweetness. Did not mix well with coke. Pass!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This is St. Augustine "Hand Made" rum, available at the St. Augustine distillery, in Florida. It's made from molasses and sugar cane, so it is a blend of both and tastes like it. Which I have to say, is rather interesting and a bit different. I knew from the sample available at the distillery, that I'd like it. It's light colored, warm, tasty and pretty smooth for a 90 proof rum. It's aroma is very mild, and unremarkable, almost not worth mentioning. All I could detect was the alcohol. Don't let that fool you, this stuff really tastes good. Warm like a rum should be, without any bitterness or harshness. I gave it a 7 because the aroma is almost missing. But the taste is a solid 8, without a doubt. I like it enough to drink it straight. Yum.
