Espectacular color and taste... Espectacular color and taste...
great rum for a special occasion. sipper.
nice with a cigar. complex flavour.
Nici color and presentation. Great taste, a bit harsh. Would recommend!
this is the best havana that i had. smooth spicy taste. cheap price
I read a few reports regarding cuban rum. Cuban rum is more dry - so not sweet at all, but very tasty.
I toffee in the nose, wood and citrus fruits. First second in the mouth it is a bit strong, but wood and vanille and spices. And long lasting. A good buy!
Velmi dobrý rum. Zatím nejlepší od Havany co jsem pil. Ale pořád tomu něco chybí. Silný, jemný, kouřová chuť.
There is nothing special in this rum, may be the brand. Taste is strong alcoholic. I'd recommend to drink it with coke (but i prefer to drink something else).
Ive noticed how few comments describe the flavours in this rum , its very difficult to find them.. maybe wood , leather and that's about it ? Lovely gold/straw colour , strong ethanol smell upon opening . An ice cube makes it creamier. A really well made not sweetened enjoyable rum. For a longer drink this makes an outstanding (expensive) cuba libre... 7.5 overall.
As successor to Barrel Proof, this bottle deserve some attention. To start with bottle itself, it looks very very nice. Such a fabulous bottle! So we are stepping up here form Barrel Proof decent, but beautiful, old school design. As content - the rum - Selección is very delicious. It isn't as perfectly refined as Barrel Proof, but it is hell a lot delicious! Taste is complex, on the sweeter side, with all finesse you'd expect from very good aged rum.
This rum was very fine for the money and seems less commented on than many others. I keep coming back to it, lovely sipping rum that feels like a proper Solera.
It smells of apricot and peaches.
"Well blended and well-balanced spirit that it’s smoothness shines through. There is very little roughness or aggressive spirit tones when sipped."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
