Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blend of rums aged for up to five years produced from the fermented molasses of sugar cane harvested in Cuba. The molasses is combined with yeast and water, distilled using column stills, and aged in white oak barrels.
Havana Club was founded in 1878 by Jose Arechabala and later nationalized after the Cuban Revolution in 1959.

Made very nice Cuba libres with this one. Also enjoyed it neat. However, I have moved on.
This is probably the minimum quality for sipping. It is good for cocktails but it might be a beginner's rum to decide if sipping rum is your thing.

The benchmark for Cuba Libre in my opinion. Straight I wouldn't recommend it, the alcohol sting is overwhelming, but it's not an unpleasant experience.

A very good rum in my opinion for cocktails, I definitely like it better than Brugal.
Very good choice for a decent Cuba Libre for a fair price.

Toffee up front and a bit of coffee on the back end. Not bad with ice. Probably better as a mix but for the price you can't go wrong.
A good rum, not very special but nice and soft with a mix with Coke and ice.

Both the anejo especial and the 7 year are ideal to mix with, the anejo especial you can imo put in every cocktail where the 7 year is more suitable for a dark and stormy or Cuba libre. Neat I don't drink either, tried both, and both are ok, value for money the 7 year is good even. But I simply have better options available to drink neat. Both are for these reasons a solid 6 for me and get the same review.

Rum z gatunku tańszych, idealny do łatwiejszych koktajli, idealny do mieszania z colą. Dla mnie w dolnej półce cenowej najlepszy ;)

to much alcohol taste to drink by itself, but with cola it is a great choice.
Good value for your money.
