Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

I like this one when going clubbing.
Better then bacardi and any other cheap white rhum.Cheap buyable.
Any friend i know has it at home.
Again with cola
When people talk about Cuban rums, Havana club is usually the name most brought up..pretty smooth and mixes good with anything.
This is a solid every-day aged rum. It is also a good rum for smoking medium-bodied Habanos. It has relatively good balance for its age and like good Cuban rum isnt too sweet and/or harsh. It is better than many much more expensive non-Cuban rums for sure.
a staple in pretty much any of my drinks when i was in cuba, it mixes with just about anything.. a cigar included!
Gewoon weg heerlijk voor een Cuba libre voor in de zomer hmmm
Doesn't hurt to have a bottle of this around, best with cola or ginger ale. Find it very smooth but can disappear if mixed weak.
Bon rhum mais goute le havana club en plus doux mais pas aussi doux que bien d'autres.
Not harsh taste (like the selleccion des maestros) but not much else either.
A touch of vanilla which then fades fast.
Would probably be good with coke but given that will mask almost any taste that isn't really a compliment.
Decent enough rum if you buy it in Cuba. Half the price from Holland.
Bit smokey, relative sweet.
I like this one specially for Cuba Libre drink. Nice & smooth.
Havana Club Añejo 7 Años has a dazzling and clear mahogany colour...

Their is a creamy/buttery vanilla like smell oak, dry tobacco and smokiness.
"It’s very hot, spicy and very bitter. Luckily the burn isn’t bad and very short. Subsequent sips are much smoother."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not a bad rum if you can get around the big leathery tobacco-like note at the beginning. I personally don't like it, but if you sip your rum while smoking cigars, you'll love it. I do think this rum actually suffers from some overrating (and price inflation) as its political/historical context make it the Che Guevara t-shirt of the rum drinking world. If you sip it on its own merits, its not bad but not great either.
