Havana Club 7-Year Rum is distilled from fermented molasses and aged in charred white oak barrels for seven years.
Havana Club rum is still made in Cuba - where the company was founded by José Arechabala in 1878 and then nationalized in 1959 after the Cuban Revolution. Havana Club is now jointly owned by Pernod Ricard and the Cuban government.

Just very simple, lovely, classic rum. Easy to drink neat or mixed.

Absolutely love this rum, my go to all the time, perfect for mixing n good enough to drink straight.
My go to.
..and it becomes magical. Slightly sweet..slightly bitter..notes of toffee, caramel, tobacco, vanilla, coffee bean..maybe hints of orange.
I recommend using distilled water when making the ice and freeze with a stick of some kind- a kebab stick you haven't used yet works well - and swirl through patiently until the flavors develop.

This is a great companion for a Cuba Libre. For an on-the-rocks I would advise other options for the price.

Found this in the duty-free store on Guatemala City airport. I was curious about the old recipe, and it did not disappoint. Not to sweet, not leathery either, vanilla notes. Good price on 1 litre.

I see a lot of bad reviews for this rum. But I enjoy it. It goes so well with a Maduro Cigar.

I like it in a rom and Coke. One of my go to for that drink
Tastes a bit one dimensional with a bit of a burn. Considering it’s aged 7 years, the burn isn’t the best. Still is a great rum for any cocktails because of the punchy flavour.

Just a good rum. I'm mixing it often with "cassis", a dutch soda drink with sweet blackberry's.
