Havana Club 7-Year

Simple rum for sipping, but:
+ not sweet
+ not boring; nice tobacco flavors

For the price, I can recommend this rum to everyone as a sipping rum.

This is the one that started it all back in the Islas Canarias, were I learnt to drink rum. It's great for a quality Mojito or a simple rum & coke.

I find it to harsh for a sipping rum, it's certainly not bad and If all other bottles were empty this would be a fine last resort. Certainly with its relatively cheap price (+/-27€ for a liter bottle).

This is a nice rum! Its not weird or outstanding, but its really solid. Its good quality, a great recipe if you will...
I think its best suited for mixing. I just sipped it so anything is possible!

I bought this bottle on vacation without tasting it because I knew I couldn't get it where I lived, and then I checked the reviews and was horrified by the descriptions of smoke and leather. I am not a whisky drinker, and those sounded like whisky terms, so I rushed to my bottle and opened it up to try it and I can say I am very pleasantly surprised. It's definitely got a lot of character, but in the best possible way! It's great! Can't wait to try this in some cocktails, and I could definitely see some people enjoying it to sip, maybe with a cigar. :)

First "serious" rum i ever tasted. Still like it, especially considering the price.
I do like to drink a coke next to it.

Good Aged Rum, good for a few drinks, but hard for all night
