Havana Club 3-Year

I brought a couple of bottles of this back from Cuba. A pale gold so unfiltered. I notice the same in bottles I see in Canadian stores. Different from the old Blanco or "Silver Dry" It's the perfect light Rum for Mojitos.

3/10 Serious improvement needed. Good for only for coctails.

Not saying it's really good, not saying it's bad either! I liked it, with coke, without coke, but it's not on my "to buy again" list..

Fruity citrusy floral sugary nose.
Same in taste with a slightly acidic citrus notes.
Not a sipper though but excellent mixer and it has some character to bring to the cocktails unlike some cheap white rums.
Very recommended mixer, one of the best for the price.

Impossible to drink it pure or in à ti punch, you have to hide the taste as much as you can with mojitos and Cuba libre.

For a sipping rum I wouldn't recommend it, but for a mojito it's the best I've ever had! The way this works in a mojito (and a daiquiri) easily makes it a 7/10 instead of the 5/10 it would have been otherwise.

Yes it's better than Bacardi. That's all. Not so great for mixing, but it's cheap.
