Havana Club 3-Year

Will always be the go to for mojitos for me. Takes me to a place in Havana.

I had a daiquiri in Cuba at El Flordita. They used this rum to make the most beautifully delicious daiquiri ive ever had. Havana club 3 year is probably my preferred white rum mixer more than bacardi silver. It has more depth of flavor and doesnt give you a hungover. Definitely not a sipper but a versatile mixer.

Nothing too fancy, purely used as mixing material.

I wasn’t expecting much considering its overall rating of 6 here. But I was pleasantly surprised. Went down smooth. I liked it.

Made for mixing, does what it says on the tin. You could drink this with coke any day of the week.

So far this has been the best white rum that i have used in coctails and it's perfect with Coca Cola. I found it drinkable on it's own too if you want to get drunk fast but mostly i use it to mixing. I find this white rum much better than Bacardi and other similary priced white rums. It has nice fruity and smooth taste without strong ethanol taste which others cheaper white rums have. Maybe i would get even more taste if i pay more to buy another more expensive brand but no thanks, this is fine for me in mixing purposes what comes to using white rum on them drinks. However, after getting used to this i kinda would it want to have more aroma so probably i would need to buy older rums to have more aroma.

white rum, not for drinking alone, but for mixed drinks

This is a mixing rum. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's 100% a mixing rum. It's affordable and is perfect in a daiquiri or mojito. Sipped neat, there's a bit of citrus, banana, and pear, but not really a ton of character.....but keep in mind it's not made for neat sipping.
