Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Decent rum but unfortunately nothing really special about it.

Tastes good not amazing or anything special, but great with ginger beer. Possibly the best rum for a dark n stormy.

Works good for all your classic drinks, but my favorite to use this in is egg nog! I was surprised when I sipped this neat as well. Nothing outstanding, but not unbearable in the least.

This is solid, especially for the price point. It's a black blended rum, but still very unique. Molasses and spices on the nose with undertones of caffeine, little licorice. I get kind of a black pepper finale. That spiced molasses really carries through on the taste, finishes with that pepper, oak, a little acetone actually. I wouldn't drink it neat, but I could see it going really well with big flavors like tropical fruits and obviously your dark & stormy.

Nice molasses on the nose but it doesn't fully translate on drinking. Some molasses but a burnt flavor as well. A little bitter on the finish.

You understand why this is the recommended rum for dark n stormy cocktails. The sweetness will balance out the ginger and spice notes.

I must say I think the rating is a little low for this, not an amazing rum but I do enjoying a lot

I got this on a whim, needing a dark rum for some cocktails. Upon tasting for the first time, I was surprised how smooth this was. I now have this on my go to list when need an everyday drinking rum.

Weird, kind of sweet, kind of bitter, salty without the taste of salt. Won't ever buy it again but glad I've experienced it.
