Bermuda | Dark | 40% ABV

The James Gosling family business first produced Gosling Black Seal rum in 1806, and it is now the oldest surviving business on the island of Burmuda.

Gosling 'Black Seal' rum received it's name from the black wax originally used to seal the bottles. It is Bermuda's most widely exported product and considered the nation's national drink.

I just buy it for that and it does the job for my go to easy drink. Burning, bit harsh on its own.

I love full-bodied, dark rums with lots of flavor and this one fits the bill nicely. Chocolate and port wine come through with every sip. Beautiful color, too. Enjoy it neat. Live a little!

This one is the one to use to make a Dark 'n Stormy. For my everyday drink i use kraken since it´s cheaper. But this one is okay. Even if i prefer the 151 instead for the faster buzz..

This rum is perfect for the Dark N Stormy cocktail with it´s dark, thick flavor. Also good in tiki drinks, obviously.

need I say more? Goslings with bundaberg ginger beers or home made ginger beer is near perfect. Coruba is slighty better but cant take much away from Goslings except that they have a aggressive copyright policy and send letters to people who use the dns name without permission. So BOO and -3 points.

I made a north south trip across the United States of America looking for this rum. I finally found it south of Austin, TX (1800 miles from home).
My goal was to try a legal “Dark N’ Stormy”. I finally had it. Now I have had it using other dark rums, however I feel the drink is truly made for Goslings Black Seal.
The rum is smooth with a nice finish. I am even enjoying it neat. I am surprised how good it is. Others may rate it as a “drink if you have to”, but it is far better than that. The bottle is almost gone and I will buy it again , if I can find it.

Liked it, quite drinkable. Not the best, not the worst.

Look, it's a mixer, but it's a good mixer. Better than Cruzan for a balanced Jungle Bird.

I'm exclusively into cocktails and Goslings is always a nice, easy option in a rum blend.

not as good as gosling gold by a long mark, but ok for a mixer and so much better than Myers imo.
