According to various internet sources this is a blend of various Guatemalan rums aged anywhere from 6 to 15 years in oak barrels then are aged some more (cannot determine the time frame) in Cognac casks in France.

An interesting backstory.

However not much information given on the rather plain label.

Let's continue...

The hue of the rum is a rich dark amber...a brownish amber. Dark caramel perhaps. It has a very appealing odor (again, my weak point since I am unable to distinguish odors well...I just say it's a nice odor or not).

Nice legs as I swirl it in my snifter.

The flavor is quite intriguing. Definitely a smooth sipping rum. A little oiliness causes it to stick to the tongue well allowing the flavors to settle. It has some pepperiness to it but does not have much of a tannin bitterness although the oak notes are clearly present albeit subtle. A nice caramel and vanilla undertones. No real burn. Instead there is a nice warmth that builds for a bit in the back of the throat and then fades ever so slowly. If the info I found is true and the rum is finished in France in Cognac casks then I understand why it has this subtle sweetness that almost borders on sugaring but plausibly isn't.

Clearly a sipping rum with a nice complexity to it. Excellent rum for the price IF you can find it.

Un rhum très équilibré avec une douce chaleur en attaque et un final caramel bonbon plutôt sec et court. Se boit tout en gourmandise

This has an exquisite finish. The finish is a 9 for sure. Long, light flavorful and lingering. It finishes as well as rums 5x the price. But the rest isn’t as good. There is good smoothness with lots of delicate cinnamon and cardamom. Some light mint and sweet vanilla. I mean really good. Nice upon first sip, nice throughout. I give this an 8. The mouth feel is thin. The balance is average. I give this a 7. Where you notice the weakness of this rum is in the body and complexity. There isn’t much to savor. It does not coat your pallet and invite exploration. Almost no hidden notes. Not at all chewy. Does not fill your mouth and make you take notice. I give this a 5. Very good rum. Very pleasant. My girlfriend loves it. A superstar mixer. An ok sipper. A unique rum you should try.

All told a nice rum. Not my favorite for sure, but a nice addition to the cabinet.

Well drinkable rum. But somehow it doesn't deviate from the line. Maybe I'll buy one more bottle or try a more expensive version of Gran Reserva.

Dobře pitelný rum. Ale tak nějak nevybočuje z řady. Možná ještě někdy koupím jednu láhev, nebo zkusím dražší verzi Gran Reserva.

Total wine had this on an employee pick. I was disappointed from the get go. Too much like maple syrup.

Tohle je prostě dokonalost sama.. Nejjemnější záležitost. Vyvážená skvělá chuť... sametové pohlazení.

Really, not bad at all, but by the strong alcoholic taste I would say that the rum is not older than 8 years

An average oak and spicy rum with believable cognac background and somewhat dull, boring "ethanolish" nose. One of the below-average rums for its price tag. The cask has been here for nearly 10 months to finish and I didn't like it even a tad better in the end compared to very beginning. I really don't feel like buying any more "Pasadors". It's weak, dull, expensive, generic and not very tasty; a mixer qualities.
