Sugar estimated at 12 GPL.
Excellent value in this rum. Sweet with traces of vanilla, honey, and fruit with a noted trace of coconut. The Plantation flavour profile is present but quite subdued. No big flavours stand out in this rum, which makes it a great mixing rum. At $25 Canadian, you would expect some harsh chemical or funky tastes but not so with this rum. I would suggest this rum over any other rum in this price range, but be careful as it can sneak up on you in mixed drinks.

Sweet taste, with nice shades of crack, vanilla and banana.

Amber-coloured, pineapple-scented. Very easy to drink but short on finish; flavour dissipates almost instantly, does not linger in the mouth once swallowed.

For $27CAD at the LCBO, it's stuck between El Dorado 3/5 and El Dorado 8. Works well when you want something easy-drinking on a hot summer's evening outside.

Originally rated as a 6 when tried during the cold Canadian spring season. Tried it at night at 20+C outside and wish I could upgrade it to a 6.5.

I'm not a rum expert but from tasting it as it is:
Certainly is a step above the cheaper rum.
It's sweet and quite a bit from the darkest spiced variants,
probably the best there is for my favourite mix: rum and coke.

The nose could be improved from my point of view, a hint of booze. Synthetic banana and dates, also vanilla. The synthetic impression can also be found in the body, somehow like (artificial) sweetener. Banana cake, some chocolate and cream. A hint of lemon. Reminds me of dish detergent, sounds crazy but it isn't too bad here. Further, a bunch of typical "Christmas" spices. Among these are cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, cacao powder, ginger and brown sugar. Really nice taste with something to discover!

Quiet decent rum with double aging, a bit too much of vanilla, good balanced, tropical fruits, strong bourbon influence, medium body.
Recommended as an ordinary rum, for sipping and mixing, very testy old fashion.

Kdyz jsem si tuto lahev koupil byl jsem zklaman. Lihovost a ostrost mne odrazovala. Nyni je lahev temer dopita a musel jsem zmenit nazor. Nyni je zacatek sladky pak jde do rozinek a lihovost je pryc trosku to konci whiskou. Vubec to neni na skodu.

Easy sipping rum, pretty light, great price. Perfect for fruity cocktails.
