Appleton Estate 12-Year Rum is a blend of several rums aged between 12 and 18 years in American oak barrels after being distilled using small-batch copper pot stills.
The rum is produced on the Appleton Estate, which sits in the Nassau Valley in Jamaica. The estate’s origins date back as far as 1655 when the English overthrew the Spanish to rule the island and Frances Dickinson, grandfather of the distillery’s founders, received the land as a reward for his role in the overthrow.

C'est un rhum bon mais sec. Si vous préférez les rhum doux celui ci n'est pas pour vous. Un rhum qui vous rappelle que les pirates anglais buvaient des vraies boissons d'hommes.
This is a good but dry rum. If you prefer sweet rum this one is not for you. A rum that reminds you that English pirates drank "real men" drinks.
Solid neat but better with a little water, ice, or your favorite mixer. Good with coconut water. A little edgy at first but let it sit and you will enjoy it more. Not so pricey that you mind mixing it.
Perfectly blended molasses, and oak with just a touch of citrus, I find this being used as the bar a which anything else considered "premium" is judged. Not the best of the best but just makes the cut for drinking straight for me.
Not that what i a expected. ...............for 12 yers old.
Non un grande rum. Buono il colore ma di poco sapore. Forse migliore il rum con più anni di invecchiamento.
nice aroma, sensual flavor. Best straight in my opinion. I save this for when there is something worth drinking to.

A good Jamaican rum: Complex in its taste, many different nuances, relatively dry but only a little bit spicy.
Fine rhum, though lack of strength. Nice on the rocks, but easy-going.
Mit kommt dieser Rum viel zu aggressiv vor. Die gilt für den ersten Geschmack als auch für den Abgang. Ich als Einsteiger kann diesen Rum nicht empfehlen

The rum offers a lot of smoky spiced oak flavour.
"A nice note of cocoa and a little hint of vanilla. The rum is smooth yet spicy offering a nice kick. The finish is long and complex leaving a lot of flavour behind to savour."

Rien d'extraordinaire sauf qu'il représente bien son origine ...je le trouve quelque peu agressif.
