I was surprisef when i saw 15y aged. I honestly don't taste the age tha much. If you compare it to other 15y old standard (ie ED15) it misses complexity, but !!! The taste is amasing good. I wasn't expecting it. Full of fruty notes on a base of vanila. Perfect for a summer, or after a desert. Less vanila then a dzama, more balanced, smooth sweet rhum. This was one of the 3 bottles i bought at the last rumfest. I just think the 15y complexity is missing (5/10), but as a spiced rum it's (9/10) so i give it a solid 7

My dad drinks his coffee with 4 sugars and 2 creams...this was the rum equivalent of that. I was shocked at the taste and it took me awhile to come to grips with it. I want to sip rum, not fire up Type 2 Diabetes.

One of the cooler looking bottles on the shelf, but thankfully the bottle I have was a gift. If you’re at someone’s house and they have this and captain as your only options for rum, yeah, I’d pick this to sip(I guess) over captain but I would not spend my own money on it. It has a weird banana, vanilla flavor with what I’d imagine if flavor scientists tried to recreate a wood/oak flavor. The black botttle(XO) is better to sip but they are both way overpriced

Tried with rum loving friends, we called it bum juice, which is fitting. Horribly sweet, tastes full of fake flavorings, so many much better spiced rums out there. The bottle will attract many no doubt

Like the title says already, it’s a very sweet but also smooth drink. If you prefer less sweet I wouldn’t recommend it

Overspiced. And under 40%. Maybe for sweetness lovers, but not real rum

Complex, strong but sweet. Try it with coffee and cream (Jamaican coffee). Heaven.

This is a delectable rum that some reviewers have cast aside because of it's bottle or label, or saying it tastes like banana. However, the tasting notes are strong caramel, vanilla, and allspice. Try it and see how delicious it truly is. This is rum for sipping, especially if you have a sweet tooth!
