Stadig en god rom som de andre i vintage serien. Men som 2001 lige tabte lidt i forhold til 2000 har også 2002 taget en lille dyk i smagen i forhold til 01

Another great rum from Diplomatico. Beautiful bottle and stopper and even better rum.
Not too sweet, no burn and wonderful aroma and flavor.
Wish it was a little less expensive.

This one was a wild card for me. Enjoyed today with a cigar and good company and I'm not disappointed.
This one will be remembered for it's smoothness and tastiness. There's only one way to describe it: top of chart

God rom med tydliga smaker. Man känner av honungen samt vaniljen i eftersmaken.

Smoother, and tastier than the 2001. Candy-like goodness, but not as much of a dessert as one might expect with that description. Get it while you can.

I find notes of vanilla and almond with rich and silky and flavors of caramel and vanilla. Slightly dry, with a long lasting finish.

Hatte mehr erwartet, weil einige Bewertungen von Kennern, die schon sehr viele Rums bewertet haben, super gut ausfallen. Außerdem dachte ich, wenn der Reserva Exclusiva für deutlich weniger als den halben Preis schon super schmeckt, dass der Single Vintage für über 80€ der Hammer sein müsste. Sorry, aber mehr als 8 Punkte kann ich nicht geben, also nicht mehr als für den "billigeren" Reserva Exclusiva.

Most of us started with the green Diplomatico (Reserva Exclusiva), which I loved and nowadays I find it too sweet (42g of sugar per liter added if I remember correctly).
But this one is something sooo diferrent, it is not at all that sugary, just a little sweet, pleasant in the mouth with a perfect light smell of coffee.
Very good but you can find similar ones for half the price...

It's a nice rum, but do prefer the 2001 vintage, is even better. But is this one worth more that the double of money that the standard Diplomatico Exclusiva, I seriously doubt that :-)

Diplomatico Single Vintage 2002 comes in a very nice package and a beautiful bottle (picture). High class presentation.

This rum needs time to breathe in the glass, you get so much more aromas if you let it rest in the glass for about 15 minutes. At first you sense some sticky alcohol but after a while you get smooth sweet aromas of toffee, vanilla and oak. You can also smell a bit of sherry from the barrel.

In mouth you get sweet flavours of toffee and vanilla. But you also get some spice and oak. It´s very smooth in the throat with a long aftertaste with sweetness and some spice.

A very nice sipper, a personal favourite. I drink it neat.
