A bit hot for a 40% rum. Sipped neat the funk is there in the background but not so much that it stands out in a mixed drink. Not a bad rum to keep on hand for tiki drinks like a Gold Cup.

A rum with a light color, although the taste is really nippling the tongue. Not really sweet, did not actually enjoyed it but I can imagine to use it for some cocktails except the twist on old fashioned, tastes still too strong.

I tried this following a bottle of Appleton Estate Signature. Not quite as good as the Signature, but still good.

A light colour compared to the 8 or 12 year with some burnt caramel smell. The taste is the same with that Appleton Jamacian funk, that is not really my thing. A spicey finish , with some burn. Best in a mixed drink.

Fine aroma, smooth, tastes better mixed with sparkling fruit sodas and orange slice. Not a bad sipper choice for aged rum beginners but 12years is way much better sipper. Still ...fine for rum ending a hard day. Satisfying score 7+

A mi gusto este ron es muy comercial, es como para una fiesta donde quieres darles algo de tomar sin importar mucho la calidad jejejje

I was expecting a little more from a signature blend, and like I said the aftertaste is kind of good but you need to pass over the alcohol bite when you try it. Itโ€™s the kind of rum that you need to drink mixed with cola or something else because You need to mask the alcohol taste from the beginning. Donโ€™t get me wrong Iโ€™m used to drink 60ยฐ beverages but I still donโ€™t like the first impression of this one.
