Diplomatico Reserva rum is distilled from molasses using both copper pot and column stills. The rum is then aged in small oak casks for between 2 and 8 years before blending and bottling.

Very good rum. Love the flavor and finish but I take Zaya over this every time.

Comme d'autres l'ont déjà dit, quand on a goûté le Réserve Spéciale, ce Diplomatico est un peu décevant.

Ce diplomatico n'est vraiment pas intéressant. C'est une bouteille qu'on peut ramener en soirée histoire d'éviter le whisky coca et le vodka orange.

Like others, I bought this Diplomatico Reserva as an entry into the brand. My local stores do not carry any of the other Diplomatico varieties, so this is as good as it gets for me for now. The color is rich and dark, the aroma has a bit of an alcoholic strength. Nice sipping rum with a slight afterburn, but not harsh. Overall it's a nice choice... I look forward to trying the Reserva Exclusiva.

Although I prefer the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, the "younger sibling" is quite a good rhum itself. Not as sweet or complex, it is nevertheless a good sipping rum.

Really nice rum to sip.
It's simple rum(no complicated smell or taste) which I reaaly enjoy with a cube of ice.
It's bigger brother reserva exclusiva is a step up from this one, but this one is well worth the money.

Tout est dans le titre. quand on a gouté le diplomatico reserve exclusive, celui ci parait bas de gamme....

Sugar: 41 gpl. Since Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is no longer available in Ontario Canada I thought I would give the Reserva a try. Reserva is lighter in colour, has a sharper taste and aroma. There is more oak taste to Reserva. It's not as sweet or as smooth or complex as DRE, but it is good enough to sip. If you like the DRE and can't get it, then this one will do in a pinch. This good value at $35 Canadian.

Nice color, Great taste, smooth no strong after taste. Only negative is the aroma. Price is not bad, got a bottle for $25. Definitley worth a try.

Wem der Reseva Exclusiva zu süss und wenn der Geldbeutel schmal ist sollte Ihn mal, probieren,schönes Aroma und PLV stimmt mit rund 20 Euro.Für mich und auch für fast alle meine Gäste ist der Reseva Exclusiva die bessere Wahl.
Ansonsten ist der Single Vintage 2000 welcher auch nicht so süss ist ganz klar die beste Wahl
