Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum is distilled from molassis in copper pot stills and then aged in small oak casks for on average 12 years before being bottled.
Produced in Venezuela, which has a rich rum history dating to 1896, the Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva distillery is located on the northern slopes of the Andes mountains.

This rum has won all kinds of prices, and rightfully so.
I think it is the only rum in its price range that I enjoy sipping.

Diplomatico was one of the first sipping rums I tried, and the main reason I purchased it was because the bottle itself is one of the more interesting ones I have seen for a rum. I was certainly not disappointed with this rum.
By far one of the smoothest rums I have drank, and the flavour itself is almost overwhelming. It is quite sweet with a strong vanilla taste and an aftertaste I cannot put my finger on.
Definitely worth the money.

This might be the best all-rounder out there. Besides strong cigars there is nothing this rum can't handle.

This is without equal for me. Smooth as butter, long finish. Caramel, nutmeg, and some cinnamon on the nose and in the mouth. Burn is minimal.
The ultimate sipper for my taste!

This rum has a perfect balance, great color and perfect, deep taste. Absolutely great!
Very nice rum.
Beautiful bottle
Nice amber color in glass
Sweet smell, vanilla, brown sugar
In the mouth it's sweet and Just enough heat. Its oily in the mouth which I love.
Finish is very smooth.

Exclusive is spot on! Good vanilla hints with fruity and spiced notes. Smooth on the throat as well as the wallet!

Diplomatico is a classic !! a good choice to enter in the word of old Rum.
Sweet but not too much, tasty but not too much. Only one problem first glass ask for more :-)

I like sweet rum. I like pot still rum. So my expectation from this rum was quite high. But when I've taste this sample I've got huge disappointment. It was no oaky, not rich aroma and just a little bit sweet... I supposed it must be fake-rum but when I've tasted Mantuano it was the same (((
