This Venezuelan eum is great for sipping and perfect for beginners who are just getting into sipping rums or anyone who likes a sweeter rule with Caramel, toffee notes
I am a rum newbie for sure but, have been doing careful research as to not waste money.
Have bad memories of really poor quality industrial grade rum from my younger years that people were just indiscriminately mixing with Hawaiian Punch or whatever so I'm determined to try high quality examples as an adult...
People talk about how this is excessively sweet but frankly, I want whatever I'm drinking to taste good and I do like sweetness in liquor or wine that I'm drinking ...even beer...
Life is too short for bitter/acrid tasting drinks.
Tastes great, straight up, by itself ... I would not even bother to mix this stuff but you definitely could and I think pineapple juice would be a great match with a bit of lime juice squeezed in...
My first rum which I thought I have been missing a lot so far...I have seen cocktail suggestions for this but that would be a waste. This is a great sipping wine. Sweet but definitely not off-putting. Sugar cane hits you and you get that natural, slightly but rightly aged sipping rum feeling. I definitely recommend this for beginners.
Great taste and really nice rom. You feel the taste long and it is verk smooth. It is a keeper.

Slightly sweet but authentic enough to enjoy on it's own or with a splash of cola.

seems like one of the most popular ive seen, have to say it lived up to the hype
I'm sure that someone tampered with my bottle. I got to the bottom way faster than the usual. ;) I'm very happy with this rhum. It's easy to drink and enjoyable as much straight as on the rocks. Seriously, it's smooth with an easy and slightly sweet taste.
I like sweet but needs to be balanced out. Very smooth. Syrupy. Smells like rum raisin vanilla and banana. Might be the best smelling rum I've found.

It’s fairly easy to find in the US - FL & MI at least. Nice for an after dinner drink, but like all desserts … one or two is good … beyond that is too much.
Always a must to have a bottle on hand, especially for having non-rum drinking family & friends to taste. They generally are pleasantly surprised.
It's very, very similar to Plantation XO, but a tad better, I guess it's made to please everybody except hardcore rum aficionados. This rum might be the sweetest 80 proof liquids I ever drunk, so it's meaningless to say if it's good sipper or not. It's meant to be a sipper, you don't want to spend it on cocktails.
Some other time when my rum taste improves, I'd say it's too simple and too sweet and too liquery-ish kind of drink. But for now I definitely rate it at 83-84 out of 100, so it's 8/10 here.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
