Appleton Estate Rare Blend 12-Year

Fuller and more complex than other appletons. Smooth and great for the price. Unfortunately I dont think it measures up to other rums I rate an eight so its a happy seven for this Appleton.

Moje první Jamajka. Exkluzivní vůně, krásná rumova chuť. Silnější, ale ne moc ostrý.

Nutty and spice. Really good rum, complex flavour, and quality.

Saw this at a bargain price, and was hoping for a bargain Jamaican sipper.

I get a sharp attack of column still top notes with a kinda varnish like taste.
Finish lingers with apple, varnish and a touch of toffee.

The more I drink this, the less I like it.
For me ,it has a tone of sour apples, and that does nothing for me.

Nice rum for drinking neat. It felt kind of like drinking cognac but the raisin flavor replaced with some Jamaican funk.

My wife and I took a trip to Jamaica and discovered this wonderful aged rum while there. It has since launched a search and love for aged rum for both of us. Still our go-to sipper and one we tell about all the time.

Really great choice for the low price.

Third time might be a charm as this was the third Appleton that I have tried and it is so far the best. Hints of oak. Very little afterburn. I wish though there was a cork instead of a screw top. Mixes fine. 6-6.5 on my scale.
