Contrabando Anejo 5-Year

Habe ehrlich gesagt mehr erwartet. Riecht und schmeckt sehr nach Vanille. Ist aber eher künstlich. Kein Rum für mich.

A lot of vanilla, no alcoholic smell, a wide palette of spices. I recommend for fans of vanilla bombs.

This rum can best be thought of as embodying everything people might think of the modern market for rum - sweet, full of vanilla, some pleasant butterscotch. I'm a novice rum drinker, but it is easy to see here, how artificial colouring and sweetening is the game. However, the rum is surprisingly pleasant even as a sipper, because of the softness and lack of cask burn you get with more sophisticated rums. So, if cheap-tasting rum is not an issue for you, this is pleasant enough.

Expected much more. there's something about the taste i don't like. Drinkable but nothing more.

This product of Oliver&Oliver targeting for mixing. However, the smell is harmonious: vanilla, caramel, oak. Burns the tip of the tongue, shortcake, bitterness, oily. In the end you will get warmth, heaviness and a heavy head.

Der Contrabando ist neu auf dem Markt und gefällt durch seine dezente Süße mit dem Aroma von tropischen Früchten und einem Hauch Vanille. Trotz seiner erst fünf Jahre ein echter Allrounder.

Basic taste, nothing spacial. Strong alcohol burn with added vanilla flavor. Lot of vanilla flavor... Taste does not last.

Decent rum given the age, but there are far more better rums at the same price. Flavor is non-complex and basic.
