Not that I’m a professional rum drinker, but it’s my upgrade from captain morgen, and it is amazing, I sip it as it is, and I really enjoy it’s Flavour, it’s like smoked wooden caramel, with berry aftertaste. So it’s above average rates of 7

This is a very smooth rum with no harsh taste on the back end. A wonderful sipper.

My first experience with a St. Lucia rum. Very nice flavor, a little bite. I would definitely buy this again.

A fair offering after letting it breathe I tasted notes of caramel and vanilla. I would definitely like to revisit this one.

Dry rum with a bit of fruity tones. I am missing a bit of more body. The tail is oakish and quite long. Burn feels more younger than the rum should be at this age.

Chairman's Reserve The Forgotten Casks Rum is a 40% rum from Saint Lucia. It is a blend of rums aged 6-11 years from both pot and column stills.

Bottle: Nice bulbous, sealed with real cork
Colour: Dark mahogany

Nose: Fruity and very pleasant. It is stronger but not sharp. The caramel, vanilla, honey, sweet grapes, cinnamon, ripe banana, tobacco, wood and a little smoke are in the nose. It's really varied.
Taste: A little weaker and less rich compared to the aroma. It burns on the tongue at first, but then goes away. It is slightly watery and drier. Again I smelled caramel, then cocoa, dark chocolate, unripe apricots and finally oak wood.
Finish: Medium-long

Conclusion: Although some reviewers have dispraised it, in my opinion it is an above average rum in this price range with an intense and pleasant aroma. It is a rather drier rum with a slightly sweet finish. Beautiful bottle, interesting story and good taste.

Worth having. Great to bring out for friends just getting into rum.

Pricichnuti aromaticke pro me nespecificke. Pri napiti jemne palcivy, a presne napovi co prijde. Dlouhy hrejivy a pro mě palcivy závěr. Znovu nekoupím, nicméně tragedie to není.
