Bacardi white rum, the first white light rum invented by Facundo Bacardi in Cuba, 1862.
Now we still have the name, Bacardi, the rum is still white, but they made it in Puerto Rico and it's probably the worst light style rum that you can find.
Choose the quality, not the brand.

Use only in mixed drinks, bet there is better alternatives.
Plain alcohol labelled 'rum', better quality than most generic branded white rum and is useful for making school girls think they are classier than their friends on vodka.
2023 update.
Over the past few months I have discovered myself warning people in super markets reaching for this and recommending far better choices (in my local super market they have the Havana Club spiced quite cheap, even morgans spiced is a better choice, and if they can stretch for something particularly easy drinking such as duppy spiced, kraken etc or if they insist on a white rum, many places in the UK are now stocking Havana club 3yr white, or Wray and Nephew). I have realised that it is now my duty to prevent people buying such awful things to consume, I hope others can take this mantle also. The most common comeback (especially from youngsters) is 'she will go mental if I dont what she asked for'. To which I provide you with this adequate tool should you need it.
"Tell her "this big dude was basically going to punch me in the face if I bought bacardi blanco and kept following me around, and he said this is better, both in flavour and for my health, don't you care about me babe?".
/Best part is, they wouldnt be lying.

My rum adventures started with this one right here. The most popular brand (in my country). I liked it then, but when you try some aged rums you quickly want to forget this one. It's ok for mixing but you can buy some better rums for the same amount of money. Ok for a white mixing rum, clean taste. 5/10

It is definitely not a good rum, but come on.... Having a rate under 3 is overkill. This rum is at least decent in cocktails.

Not much to say really, it's just bad, and not in a good way

Unfortunately this is the default answer to my question "do you have rum?" Usually I'll choose not to drink, but in a pinch, there's always a can of coke with a squeeze of lime to make it palatable. I guess. I usually prefer to keep the gasoline for the car.

Vyzera to jak alcohol fuel, vona to jak alkohol fuel a este to tak aj chuti
This is the second time I drink Bacardi Carta Blanca without blending it with a drink. For me it is just a white spirits with almost none of the flavor characters that I normally find in a rum. Will not ever again drink this rum without blending it in a drink.

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I despise Bacardí in favour of Havana Club. It's harder with top shelf bottles, but it's easy with basic selection. Overall quality score is so better for Havana and the price tag is almost the same. Havana miss the Dark rum and Oro/Gold one, but they are not essential. As I occasionally enjoy Havana 3 Aňos on rock, Bacardí is no go here. Bacardí basics are bit better than Morgan's, but you can get Morgan's with lower price tag. With white/blanca bottle, both the Bacardí and Morgan's can shake theirs hands here. they're both awful. The Morgan's is as usual cheaper, so we have winner between losers. But still, I will try to avoid both of them. Bacardí blanca is awful and you can't even make it into Molotov either because it only tastes like gasoline, but not burn like it...
