Intense cask taste. At start alcohol vapors prevents full smell experience.
After 10-15min more aromas comes noticeable. All present vanilla as dominant (beside caks taste). Not to sweet.
The bottle is one of most prettiest.
Good ratio of quality and price.

Dominican republic, 40%, 23 year old
This pleasant and delicious drink has malt inspired by the taste of caramel and sherry, perfectly balanced with piece of vanilla.

I previously tried the 12 and I am a big fan of it. So my expectations for the 23 were high. It disappointed greatly.

The good: Nice presentation. Beautiful mid-amber colour. Gorgeous bottle. Brown sugar and a hint of butterscotch on the nose. A little alcohol too, but that’s ok.

The bad: Medicinal taste. No really positive flavour notes can come out because of the overpowering medicinal flavour. Far too much burn for a 23-year-old rum. Even the aftertaste makes you want to drink something else to get rid of the taste.

The 12 is substantially better. I am a fan of Dominican rums, I don’t recommend this at all. Especially not at $100+ here in Canada.

Pretty good, definitely could drink it straight, but honestly it’s about the same as the 18 to me, but more expensive

Dominican Republic. Agricole. The first real aged rum I tried, so hard to rate - 7 may be giving me room for rums I try later. Very dry, but enjoyable.

I only tried agricole from martinique and guadeloupe, this one is really good for an agricole, smell really good, the bottle is beautifull and different.

I absolutely love this rum, it is a fantastic sip and truly a delicious after dinner sipper, my favorite rum I've tried so far!

Just as flavorful as the 12 year but not as sweet. Good sipper for a reasonable price.

Honestly I was expecting more. Don't get me wrong, this is a very enjoyable rum, but it's no where as complex as I thought it would be. And that's ok. Personally, I'll stay with my El Dorado 15 year.
