This is truly a great rum i would recommend to any rum enthusiast. Just know this rum is on the sweeter side and the long aging has brought complexity to the finish. To me, this rum doesnβt have much of an oak note from aging. Enjoy.
Solid, typically Dominican rum. Good value at Β£40 a bottle. Better than the 12, not quite as good as the 23. Get a bottle.
An incredibly smooth rum with less sweetness than many. Notes of cola and vanilla dominate with a slight caramel note.
This 18 is delicious with a great aroma. It's a bit sweeter than I normally like. I will enjoy buying this again and will try the 23 year as well.. the 12 year was good too.
Same bad bottle for a cabinet, but even more delicious inside.
Color: 2/5. a bit boring but ok clear.
Nose: 9/15
Taste: 16/20
I have been a K&S Fan since first buying a bottle. This 18 did not fail to step up. Very well balanced and a true pleasure to partake in. Good price point at around $45. Great bang for your buck.
Smooth and good balance, not too heavy. It is good caramel, vanilla, buttercake with clove flavor.
There is only one problem. Cap is hard to open and close with only cork. This is not wine....
Not quite as nice as the 23yo, but still a very good drink with much of the same characteristics.
A little on the pricey side but I really enjoyed it!
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Not much separates this 18 year old from the 23. It is a quality rum with a lot going on. Complex yet balanced. A little more molasses than the 23 and some subtle cinnamon notes. Some smoke notes. Alcohol bite not quite as smooth as the 23 but very nice. Still has that nice finish. Genuinely great. You canβt go wrong with either. To me the 23 year old is a 9 and this 18 year old is 8.6.
