Smell alcohol mainly.
Then taste pineapple and vanilla. Very sweet (too much) with a strong after burn. Overall I was pretty disapointed by this Plantation.
Really soft and smooth, with some notes of honey, vanilla and banana aromas and flavours. Quite a good rum, particularly for the price. 7.5/10
My goal is to test the Plantation rum available on the market and my favorite so far is Plantation Jamaica 2001!
Nothing special but good rum. It is better than other plantation brand rums.
Ok, but the 5-year old Barbados is much better. I did taste it on a beer- and whiskeyfair. That might cloude my judgment.
Plantation Panama Old Reserve 2002 has a minimal hint of sweetness to it and bit of fruitiness and spiciness.
Not one of my favorites, tastes like refined white sugar. The most boring of the plantation rums i have tried, but works as a sipper or for drinks if you like it light and sweet.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A bit sweet, a bit of burn. Alcohol on the nose. A little fruit in there. Not my cup of tea.
