Captain Morgan Spiced is owned by Diageo and produced in Puerto Rico by the famous Destilieria Serralles, Inc. The company Captain Morgan is named after the 17th-century Welsh privateer of the Caribbean, Sir Henry Morgan was an admiral in the Royal British Navy who earned a knighthood in 1674.

Great in root beer or coke or as a shot but not much else. More or less only tastes like vanilla, but still not repulsive.

Ok, I should admit that women love it as it is smooth and sweet, but this is not a rum. Tons of vanilla flavor, mixes well with Cola, but check your blood sugar next morning.

One of me first experience with rum. For me was very fine, but I did not know, how good rum should taste.. Beginners only or if your broke and or drunk. Mixer only. There is great marketing behind, but not taste.

If you found your way to this one most likely you are starting to get into rum. Overall this is a basic spiced rum. The flavor and aromas are nice to the pallet. This really is a good rum for beginners. Everyone's taste pallet is different and honestly grab a bottle and try it yourself.
