It has the caramel notes you'd expect to find in a demerara rum with some burnt sugar and raisin notes. It plays well with limes, lemons and everything else that rum likes. I would use this for all dark rum needs.

The theme is smoke, together with earth, licorice and leather.
I do not smoke, but I figure it would go along very nicely with a good cigar.
It is smooth and the taste develops in a fine way.
With a very distinct taste it might not be everybody`s choice. But if you do like cigars I would strongly suggest to give this one a try.

This is not a sipping rum.
This rum is full flavoured and can be appreciated in any mixed drink as the mixer will not over power it.
Lemon Hart is not harsh, however it is also not mellow and will be tasted over/through pretty much any mixer.
I love it as a change from sippers or on a cold night, with Coke.

On the dry side with little fruity, baking spice or floral notes to sweeten it up. Has some dryer notes like leather, tobacco, wood and earthy tones. Makes for a decent mixer but not very good as a sipper. Can't find this too often but if you do pick up a bottle for your rum collection.

40% ABV. N: Strong coffee, caramel, and chocolate. Butter, but that might be the hot buttered rum ordered next to me... Nah, definitely buttery toffee. P: A but thin. Not as much flavor as the nose. The caramel's still there, but it's watery. With time, gets even more buttery. Where's the earth? Where's the smoke? Short finish.

Easy to drink, but over-diluted. Recommendation: Get the Hamilton 86 (or El Dorado 5, 8) instead.

7, 7-

This isn't often present in the liquor stores I shop in but I've had it and don't mind it.

This is a tasty rum, enjoyed it neat and as a mixer. Not to crazy about the screw on cap but it is what it is. Nice mouth, not too sweet and rather enjoyable for the price point.

Not a premium rum but with a few ice cubes a decent sipper. Something about Guyana rums makes them a little better than their price range.

On first tasting, I was caught by surprise. There are some interesting notes here, and an almost savory flavor. Over the months, I've come to really appreciate this one.

There notes of chocolate and vanilla, as well as some darker and funky flavors that I struggle to put into words. Part of me wants to draw a comparison to Worcestershire, but I don't want to scare off the unfamiliar who may be reading this before tasting it for the first time. It's definitely not an unpleasant flavor, but it has been unique in my experience so far.

This is the rum that helped me to dip my feet into the depths of flavors that are present in rum, and helped elevate me from a casual drinker into someone who can appreciate the subtleties of different brands.

If you are a rum newbie like I was, I challenge you to give this a shot. Its affordable, available, and complex.... and may be your introduction into the wide world of rums and the huge range of flavors and nuances that this drink affords us.

I definitely prefer this one mixed with a cola, but the flavor profile is unique and delightful, as well as memorable
This is a staple in my house.

Low sweetness, good spicy vanilla, rich dark sugars.
