This run has a good character but the 7 years aged was not enough to take the bite out, has a little to much strength in the alcohol taste.

Bought a bottle to mix, but tastes just fine as a sipper. On the drier less sweet side compared to others I also enjoy.
A very good very respectable rum.

Nos: toffi, mleczna czekolada, banan, kokos, orzeszki w karmelu, wanilia, przyprawy
Smak: mleczna czekolada, toffi, cukier trzcinowy, trochę śmietanki kokosowej, przyprawy korzenne, rozmaryn, jałowiec
Finish: mleczna czekolada, gaśnie gorzko-herbacianym posmakiem, zepsuty orzech włoski, nieprzyjemna skórzastość

smak początkowy: 0,5/1
smak: 1,25/4
finish: 0,25/2

Suma: 4/10

Has quite strong and dark yet pleasant aroma, dried plums dominates. Taste very pleasant, warm and quite soft for such a strong smell, after taste very strong and spicy in a good aged rum way which softens gradually until leaving a nice dried pluminess in a mouth. Definetly too good as a mixer but for a sipper not my taste. Definetly worth trying if you have not found a good earthy tasting rum yet.

Decent rum , even better in a rum old fashioned.
Tried it on it's own and was not the most favored drink but quite enjoyable with some friends.
Would consider it more of a mixer then a sipper

A straightforward, nice expression of Trinidad rum. Compared to Angostura 5 it is a bit more mellow, as would be expected. Aromas of oak, dust, vanillin, tobacco an whole coconut on the nose. It hits the palate with some dried tropical fruit and molasses caramel, while the finish is a bit grassy with some toffee. Also quite long and pleasantly lingering. Nice enough structure with integrated alcohol, but not really interesting as a sipper. Yet it has way more character than a lot of similarly aged, column distilled, molasses based rums out there. Still, I’ll go for the 5 YO for mixing, due to its stronger signature. However you’d be closer to, say, Barbadian expressions with this one and obviously it is better for sipping than it’s younger sibling. A cocktail recipe that calls for Cuban rum would be enlivened using Angostura instead — any of them — so i warmly recommend it for anyone fond of cocktails who also dares deviating slightly from the market leaders’ somewhat bland go-to bottles.

Compared to other 7 year rums I bought with a similar price this was low on my list. It tastes okay, but for me a little bit to expensive for the quality.

A pretty decent column still rum. Not a whole lot of flavor, but quite smooth and drinkable. Good for mixing.

It's not bad, but not quite a flavour profile that I can get into.

If it were cheaper, it would make the list, but it's just a bit much for me above the $37 current on-sale price. It's a $28 bottle to me

Visibly drier than sweet, with a pleasant smell. Better for drinks, with juices or Coca Cola.

It's a strong tastefull rhum.
This one is a bang after a few shots..
Like the rest of my other bottles, I like to drink this in it's pure shape..
