Good rum, smooth neat but also excellent with Coke.

I prefer my rum to taste like rum and not whiskey/boubon. To me it just had too much of a whiskey taste for my liking.

The classic coconut on the nose. The taste is dry oaked coconut with a short pop of toffee, which quickly subsides. A tiny bit harsh in the alcohol for the proof, but still a very nice rum if you appreciate a "real" Barbados rum.

Бочка, сладкие специи, тропики, чуть лекарств.

Кратко: аромат интересный, рот скучный!

This is nice rum. Both beginners and intermediate drinkers could appreciate the sweet vanilla-toffee smell and strong but sweet taste, the nice acidity and tardiness which bourbon barrel brings. But there is also sweetness of molasses and the specific alcohol rum taste. It looks like match in heaven, but sadly it is lacking. One glass is nice experiment, but with second one you start wondering why would you want to drink more. You can get the bourbony notes better with some nice bourbon and the same with rum notes. So Black Barrel worth keeping for taste exercises? No, but it's worth the try if you stumble upon a nice price.

I think this really grows on you. At first it seems a bit strong and harsh on the throat but then soon disappears and you really enjoy it. Great sipping rum for the price and a splash of water or cube of ice might help the first few sips.

Wouldn’t really buy again, but that’s only because there are better rums at the price point (~$40 in central ohio). That being said, it’s a good sipper, cinnamon and gingerbread type flavors.

Just happened to be on offer at my local Waitrose so thought why not. Took it round to a friends and after trying it, quickly hid it away so I could take it back home to enjoy! My favorite to mix with ginger ale.
