Heffron 2015 5-Year

It's ok. That's it. Ok. Probably a good session rum. Very drinkable but no big flavour

Vanilla taste rum, which is good just for Cuba Libre

Starting with the looks, the bottle is not particularly appealing. As Mr. Dyatlov would say - "not great, not terrible." The rum itself has a nice golden color.
Moving to the aroma, it is very sweet, with noticeable alcohol burn and the typical notes of vanilla. There are also notes of lyophilized bananas. Surprisingly no woody notes.
Taste-wise, the rum is sweet just like the aroma suggested and the alcohol burn remains as well. Oranges play the main role, followed by vanilla and tiny bits of caramel. On the downside, the rum is buttery and the oranges are way too strong.
The aftertaste does not last too long, the orange is still very pronounced with a slight bitterness.
At first, I didn't mind this rum, but the more I drank it, the more flaws I found. The oranges may appeal to other people while the buttery taste and alcohol burn are just wrong. Still, for the price, it is acceptable, so if you love oranges, why not?

Chýba tam tá ozajstná rumová chuť.
Dobre sa pije, netreba ani zapíjať.Kto chce piť veľa tak tomu tento odporúčam.
Keď niekto hľadá ozajstný rum tak tomu nie ale aj tak oplatí sa vyskúšať lebo je lacný a má fakt dobrú chuť.

Nagyon lágy ízű rum, szerintem túlságosan is!És édes.
Szerintem hiányzik az a tipikus rumos ízvilág.
Itatja magát, vagyis ha valaki sokat szeretne inni,annak ajánlhatom ezt.Nem kell öblítő sem hozzá.
Ha valaki igazi rumot szeretne az másutt keresgéljen de azért mindenkinek ajánlom legalább egyszer kipróbálni mert nem drága és az íze tényleg jó.

For the price tag of ca 12 € it´s very affordable Panama rum and is ideal for the mixing (try this rum with Ginger beer and slice of orange or, my favourite if you can´t find ginger beer, 1/3 of glass of Heffron 5yo, 2/3 of Kinley Ginger Tonic, slice of orange and lot of ice - fresh drink that your womens will love). Don´t expect any complex taste, it´s cheap, sweet and with vanila taste on the end. Nothing special but nothing, that you want to avoid.

As the title says, this is cheap rum, but does not taste like one. Found it while travelling through Czechia. Pineapple, caramel, vanilla notes - smells good. It is very sweet rum and that's might help to smooth out harsh bites from alcohol. Full mouth of caramel and the aftertaste is pleasant. Hard to think of other rum of same price that is better :)

Recenzi jsem označil slovem průměr, ale s ohledem na zemi původu jde o slušný počin. Společně s republikou jednoznačně nejlepší český rum.

Bez problému pitelny 5y rum. Doslazovany, pro lepší dojem je nutné ho chvíli nechat ve sklenicce

Vůně sladká vanilková, chuťově jemný s lehkým výrazným koncem. V poměru cena/kvalita je to dobrá volba.
