One of the best overproof rums out there! despite it´s "kerosene" flavor....this is good stuff! it`s incredibly versatile too, if you google on use in Jamaica you`ll find all kinds of things.I love it with Ting (a Jamaican grapefruit beverage), "JWray and Ting" one of the best cocktails! also it`s a great float in tiki drinks.

You get that Jamaican funk which is nice. A good example that color doesn't indicate flavor or style. A staple in my cabinet.

This is a solid addition to an original Mai Tai since a bottle of genuine 17-year Wray and Nephew is around 20 thousand last I checked!

This is terrific unaged Jamaican rum and a huge value. One of the best $25 bottles of any spirit, in my opinion. Tons of funk, bananas, lemon, olives and oil. Will always have a bottle on hand.

An easy 7 out of 10, plus 1 for the price tag. I saw this recently on a shelf for $22.99.

I wouldn’t consider this a sipper, although it certainly can be if you’re truly into moonshine and other high proof liquors. I find this rum to be crucial when making falernums and other rum cocktail spiced and flavored syrups. It’s loaded with hints of banana and other Caribbean fruits but it certainly isn’t as smooth as what you would think a 4 year aged rum would be, even considering it’s a higher proof. It’s a must if you’re serious about rum cocktails.

This classic led to the following notes:
VERY overproof
*a smiley face
Five stars out of five on the overproof scale
(although my notes clearly indicate its ranking is a 7/10 on the normal scale)

met a Jamaican couple who introduced me to this gem, now it is in my normal drink rotation.

It’s like a crazy person. If you understand it you can handle it.
You smell something weird, then you dive in and it’s actually a complex flavor. I sip it without issue.. 63% or whatever.
It’s all about the esters. It isn’t something off. Something a lot of people seem to be missing.
I found some Ting at a nearby Jamaican store. But the carbonation was doneski. Fortunately I had my trusty soda charger.
