Matusalem Gran Reserva 23-Year

This is definitely a good rum, but it is a bit sweeter than some other true aged rums I have tasted. I believe the Solera 23 refers to a blending process and not the age, and by the taste I agree. It's good, not overly complex but easy to drink and merits my rating. Not sure about value to price, here in Canada taxes make all better rums, from 6-10's expensive compared to Bacardi or the Captain. I would recommend this rum for a solid drinking rum with friends.

Ziemlich süsslich in Nase und Gaumen. Rund und sanft, hinterlässt bei mir aber keine einen bleibenden Eindruck.

A bit too woody for my taste. But still a good rum, just that I liked the 15-year old one better.

This rum is not very far from the gran reserva 18 but it is very good, vanilla, honey, and oak flavor, it has a very nice presentation too.

Its a bit sharp but stil nice enough to drink "on the rocks" firts sip did not make a great impression, but after the first sip it seems to soften as you go.

Fairly wooded and a big touch of vanilla. Also candits are there. The nose is intense.Good staying in your mouth. Neat finale. Classy

Ok I guess I’m crazy but some of these reviews are like so so ? And it’s ok ?
I had the lucky opportunity to try this rum at a buddy of mine’s house and as I would love to see the price before I rate it any rum that I can drink with a splash of water and only get a slight burn has my attention
Once mixed like a like it as I mix all rum no matter how high or low end one may think 1 ounce rum 1 ounce water 2 ice cubes and about 3-4 ounces coke this rum absolutely sings , nice caramel notes with a small oaky spice and a very smooth finish 👍👍👍 thumbs up to this bottle , can I have some more please 👍
