Matusalem Gran Reserva 23-Year

I received a bottle of this solera 23 as a gift, and I’m really enjoying it. Great color and flavor.

In der Nase feine Holznoten, Karamell und Kakau.
im Gaumen etwas scharf, nicht so süss wie der 15-year, Karamell, Vanille.
Schöner langanhaltender Abgang mit nachklingender süsse.
Ein Ron für jeden Tag.

Gus desavarsit, se simte vechimea dar nu impresioneaza cu aromele. Trebuie lasat sa se linisteasca. Se simte prea tare alcoolul din el. Are nuante suave de caramel, lemn si citrice. Din punctul meu de vedere este prea dur si prea scump.

Round, smooth, sweet but not too much and woody...

Pretty good rum, but for the price there are in my opinion better choices.

Very gentle vanilla nose and also gentle smooth vanilla body. Not very sweet and complex body, but decent gentle taste. I would prefer Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva to this one... Some caramel and smoke scents as well. Nice aftertaste where the vanilla body is slowly fading out with some sweetness. Not too aggressive abv.

Flot og stilfuld flaske og ok rom, ikke den helt stor eftersmag, men såmænd en fin smag.
Ikke et genkøb.

Konkurrent til Zacapa 23, men alligevel ikke til at sammenligne.
Matusalem vinder dog 100% på flaske design, efter min menig.
