This is actually a very good rum with interesting body. But it didnt really get me so for me, something is missing there.

Bon rapport qualité/prix mais trop de note de caramel à mon goût
Je préfère le classique diplomatico si j'ai le choix

The bottle .An ordinary bottle with braided neck.
In the glass. Stylish copper color . the scent is strong and it smells of vanilla and caramel. let ot be a while and a comes leather odors along..
In the mouth. Vanilla and a light taste of banana in the background without being to sweet. A round taste.
Aftertaste . A long finish with fruit and a little wood.
Summary. A light sweet complex rum from Trinidad Tobago. I rub along with it.

This is a great sipper and would be a waste to mix.

Received this for xmas after a buddy had been ranting for years about it. I found it smooth and mellow. Good tastes up front with little after burn. I would buy it myself but I can think of a couple cheaper rums that were comparable.

Sip on the rocks, or step up a White Russian or Hot Buttered Rum

Not going to get fancy. Best quality for the price. If you want to treat yourself with something, here you go.

Même si il y a du pti tressages et un nom qui sonne un peu comme c'est pas trop doux mais bon gout on aime si on aime le rhum. Mais c'est pas un incontournable.

I'll keep it a 9, as I am so new at this I'll undoubtedly find something better. I am one of those people that always though Bacardi was the rum to beat. Then I tried some of the spiced rums, and, though they are tasty, to me, it's the equivalent of Rum and Coke in a bottle. I discovered bourbon in the last year (yeah, sheltered life) as my only experience with whiskey was scotch, and peat SUX. (to me). On a recent cruise I told the Mrs I wanted to try Ron Zacapa 23 Solera but it was way too expensive. But she got me this Zaya for Christmas and it barely lasted a week. I LIKE this stuff. Smells and tastes like spiced, but it's not, or doesn't say it is. I like the sweet, it's good straight up, room temperature. I would never mix it with anything, same way I drink bourbon. If I want to mix, I'll get Bacardi.

Vanilla and nuts dominate the tastes here, with some spicy influences - this stuff is super-smooth and despite a mild burning as it goes down, ultra-enjoyable; in fact, I am torn and conflicted as to whether or not to classify this as one to drink it straight or mixed. Sure is nice on ice.
