This rum was very disappointing to me. It seemed way to sweet and tasted of added vanilla and had no legs. I gave it to my wife for her baking needs. Rum in chocolate banana bread is good stuff.

I can only justify buying Zaya as a mixing rum, as I didn’t care for it neat or on the rocks. Not terrible, but not my cup of tea.

I often confused Zaya and Zacapa early on from same distillery. They are similar both being sweet, but Zaya has wonderful lingering notes OC cinnamon, vanilla, and spice. Very nice and subtle, I will try it again soon, my first tasting was the original Guatemala blend, this rating is the current Trinidad version.

Sweet flavors of caramel and vanilla with a little smokiness. Good sipper for a reasonable price.

This rum is way too sweet for my tastes. Not something I would buy again.

One of the sweeter rums that I own, very smooth and tastes great with Pepsi or coke. Great value if you buy at Costco

Vanilla is in the forefront. Tasty, but there isn't much behind it. It is certainly drinkable and slightly pleasant. I agree with an earlier reviewer that this used to be MUCH better. The move away from Guatemala has rendered this a truly "vanilla" rum. Just like the ice cream.....sort of plain and ok if there isn't anything else available.
