Zafra Master Reserve 21 is a premium rum distilled in Panama, at Las Cabras Distillery, by master blender Francisco "Don Pancho" Fernandez. The rum is made from molasses and aged in American bourbon barrels for at least 21 years.

Iโm working through my second bottle. A very smooth sipper that gets better as a cube of ice slowly melts.

The long aging of 21 years gives this Zafra rum a deep richness and complexity. There's a good inherent sweetness to it, unlike several aged rums with added sugar. It has a nice aroma and full taste which out classes almost all that i've bought. If you haven't tried this Zafra please make sure you do, i doubt you can buy a nicer rum than this one for the same price or less.

I like it.Luxury panamian rum, dark colour ,delightful in smell and taste.
Keeps some sweetness.Not surprise as I already know his older brother which is great.
21- I will not hesitate to buy again.
Sweet and mellow. Will buy a bottle. Might be hard to find.

This is the best Rum. Love it neat, plus itโs not going to break the bank. The 30 year is great also but it will break the bank.lol, only comes out on special occasions.. As long as I can keep finding there will always be a couple bottles of this in my collection..

There are better and more luxurious rums out there, but this is a bargain. One of the best when it comes to value for money. When all is said the Zafra 30 is in a class of its own compared to the 21, but also way more expensive.
Not too sweet, very smooth. I love the wood/smoke flavor and long lasting after taste. Great rum. Slightly better and more complex than Zacapa 23 Solera.
Not quite up with some of the other rums Iโve had, but decidedly drinkable and a good value for the price.

This is the perfect rum for those bourbon and/or scotch drinkers who don't want to be bombarded with the overt sweetness and sugar of some rums such as Diplomatico Reserva and Zaya. Don't get me wrong, it still has a lot sweetness but it's muted by the bourbon barrel aging and goes down very easily. I'm really enjoying this at the moment as my nightly sipper.
