Easily consumable in a bind
Enjoyed a bottle of Rum Hispaniola Añejo from Dominican Republic. Very low end bottle and label design. Cheap at $12 per bottle. Dark mahogany color. Plenty of oak, vanilla and alcohol to your nose and palate when neat sipped. Strong and dry burn at the end. Mix this up with your favorite soda since this is not a neat sipper rum by any means.
There are vanilla, herbs and alcohol in weak aroma.
Taste is slightly sweet, round, a little chocolate and bitter.
In the aftertaste is surprisingly calm, no discomfort, with a memorable sourness.
He does not deliver delight, but it is drunk easily and does not cause damage in case of an overdose.
