Dunno what’s happening here. Everything about this adds up to a delicious rum when you look at the label, but it tastes bad. My money is on the aging process, it says bottled by Cadenhead so I reckon they’ve kept it locked in a basement in Inverness for 8 years.
It tastes a lot like tears, but there’s obviously good rum under there somewhere.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

46% ABV. Nose: a touch of alcohol, lots of oak, candied cherries, vanilla, coconut. Palate: great strength. Lots of oak here too; very woody, like a bourbon, but with a molasses-like sweetness. This is everything Zacapa SHOULD be. A very balanced, approachable, oaky, moreish kind of rum :)
